The ninth HBL Pakistan Super League is poised to kick off on February 16, 2024, with a thrilling clash between Lahore Qalandars, the two-time champions of 2022 and 2023, and Islamabad United, also two-time champions in 2016 and 2018. This exciting opening match will take place at the iconic Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

The opening ball of this highly anticipated match is scheduled for 8 pm PKT. On the same day, a double-header awaits fans, with the afternoon match starting at 2 pm, followed by the evening match commencing at 7 pm. Matches held during Ramadan will begin at 9 pm to accommodate the observance.
Lahore is set to host the inaugural opening ceremony of the HBL PSL at the PCB’s headquarters, Gaddafi Stadium. Scheduled to begin at 6:30 pm, the ceremony promises an array of captivating performances by renowned artists such as Arif Lohar, Natasha Baig, pop band Noori, as well as the singers of the HBL PSL 9 anthem, Ali Zafar and Aima Baig. Spectators can also look forward to breathtaking fireworks and an enchanting laser show.
A total of 34 matches will be spread across four cities: Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi. Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium will host nine matches, including five home games for Lahore Qalandars. Multan Cricket Stadium will be the venue for five matches, all featuring Multan Sultans, with Lahore and Multan hosting the initial leg of the league from February 17 to 27 before action shifts to Karachi and Rawalpindi.
Rawalpindi's Pindi Cricket Stadium will host nine matches from March 2 to 10, with Islamabad United participating in five of them. Peshawar Zalmi will play four out of their 10 matches in Rawalpindi, while Quetta Gladiators will play three matches at the same Match Venue.
Karachi's National Bank Stadium will be the setting for 11 matches, including the grand finale on March 18. Karachi Kings, the home side, will play a minimum of five matches at this venue, while Quetta Gladiators will have at least three matches at the National Bank Stadium.
